I was in London (UK) this afternoon for a meeting and had some spare time, so I decided to pop in to the Apple iPod Store near Oxford Circus. The last time I visited the store (around Christmas time?), and boy does it seem to have changed….
Not really MMISoftware news, but…… today was a landmark day in the UK for iPod owners who want to use FM transmitters to play music through their car radios… the transmitters are now legal!! So hop over to the Apple Store and grab yourself one of Christmas.
Not really MMISoftware related, but good news for me (I often rent cars in the UK I have to keep requesting cars with tape players, and these are increasingly rare)…. It appears that the ban on MP3 player transmitters is to be lifted in the UK. This at least explains why these ‘illegal’ items having been appearing for sale in a number of shops in the UK in the last few months and over at [Amazon][Amazon_uk].

Good article in todays Sunday Times (UK) on Apple Computers:
The article concentrates on the underlying design philosophy behind Apple Computers and iPods, with a smattering of ‘Apple History’ thrown in.

And there is also a couple of new iPods
Apple has released a new version of iTunes bringing it to version 4.7.
The new version of iTunes works with ‘Tunes Menu‘…..
Apple has also released a new version of the iPod called iPod photo. Looks interesting….
PLEASE NOTE: TUNES MENU IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED
