News and views of Mac OS X and iPhone Programming

Just been reading on the ‘internets’ about a possible Mac virus/trojan that may be out there called OSX.RSPlug.A. (See the post at TidBITS for the full story).

Anyway, I thought “I’m OK… won’t get me as I have Intego’s VirusBarrier installed…”

Anyway, when I checked I didn’t have VirusBarrier installed as Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) had kindly uninstalled it for me. I quickly visited the Intego site, and signed up for a demo so I could get the installer. Hopefully I am now ‘safe’ again, particularly as VirusBarrier has just snagged a virus definitions update.

So, be warned, if you installed Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) over 10.4, and you were running VirusBarrier, you may not be now!
