News and views of Mac OS X and iPhone Programming

Wow! This article in InformationWeek is so true! The amount of email spam we get at MMISoftware is unreal (100s and 100s per day, worst day recently was 400+), plus we are getting an increasing amount of spam aimed at the blogs (this one and the one over at thesnowsite.com, which MMISoftware also looks after).

InformationWeek Story: 2006 Declared Year Of The Zombies

The title says it all! MMISoftware would like to wish all its customers a Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

2007 should prove to be an interesting new year. There are a number of major projects in the pipeline, and with the release of Mac OS X 10.5 just around the corner there will also be updates of a number of MMISoftware programs.

A very interesting post over at the TextMate blog where reasons for not supporting earlier versions of Mac OS X are discussed – see TextMate Blog ยป 2.0 Will Require Leopard.

Not MMISoftware related (other than the fact that I travel by train a lot on business) but….

Looks like my post of the 26th November was close to the mark (post). It appears that GNER is failing and they have (or will) lose their franchise to run trains on the east-coast mainline in the UK in 18 months because they cannot meet their franchise payments to government. What will happen next? Surely things can only get better!

Full story is available at the BBC: GNER may lose its top train route

Not really MMISoftware news, but…… today was a landmark day in the UK for iPod owners who want to use FM transmitters to play music through their car radios… the transmitters are now legal!! So hop over to the Apple Store and grab yourself one of Christmas.
