Editing multiple photos...

With PhotoGPSEditor it is possible to edit the meta-data and names of mutiple photo at once. To edit the data of more than one photo just select multiple photos in the left-hand table.

Changing the name of multiple photos

Select the photos you wish to change the name of.

Type the new name in to the 'Change file names to:' text field and click the 'Change' button. A sheet will then appear with three options:

  1. Revert: Change file names back to the original name when the file was first loaded in to PhotoGPSEditor
  2. Selected: Change only the name of the selected file(s)
  3. All: Change the name of all files

It should be noted that when multiple files have their names changes to say Holiday, the names of the files will be incremented, i.e. Holiday_1, Holiday_2 etc.

This process does not rename the files until the photos are resaved (more details).

Changing the meta-data on multiple photos

With PhotoGPSEditor you can easily change the meta-data (latitude, longitude, location, description etc.) on multiple photos.

Select the photos you wish to change in the left-hand table.

Latitude, longitude, and location data are added just as you would add the date for single pictures, however, if the button doesn't say 'Add Markers' but says 'Remove Markers' then some of the pictures already contain location meta-data which first needs to be removed.

Other meta-data can be changed / added as described in the 'Adding meta-data section'.
