Loading GPS track data...

Most GPS units are able to record 'tracking data' for a given journey. This data can be downloaded from the GPS unit using either software provided by the manufacturer or third-party software such as GSPBabel+.

To be able to use the track data with PhotoGPSEditor it must be saved in the GPX or NMEA formats. If you have GPS data that is not in the GPX format then it can be converted to GPX or NMEA using GSPBabel+.

If you wish to buy a GPS unit then please visit the MMISoftware GPS store.

To load GPS track data in to PhotoGPSEditor it must be in the GPX or NMEA format.

To load the data file just click the 'GPS file' button and using the standard Mac 'file-open sheet' that appears select the file to be loaded.

The loaded data can be viewed by selecting a GPS track in the 'GPS Tracks' table, and then clicking a track point in the 'Track' table. The data shown are the latitude and longitude for the track point, plus altitude and the date-stamp for the point.
